CSM Technologies Limited (NSE: CSM | BSE: 544806) has received ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification for its Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS), adding an international governance framework to its growing portfolio of AI and generative AI services.
The Bhubaneswar-based GovTech and enterprise IT company said the certification followed an independent audit and covers its end-to-end technology services. These include software and application development, artificial intelligence and machine learning, generative AI, digital transformation, IT consultancy, systems integration, managed IT and cloud services, and data management and governance.
ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is the first international standard specifically designed for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems. It provides organisations with a framework for establishing processes around the responsible development, deployment and oversight of AI systems.
For companies building AI into business and public-sector applications, such frameworks are becoming increasingly relevant as regulators and customers seek greater visibility into how AI is developed, deployed and monitored.
Governance Built Into AI Development
CSM said its AI Management System incorporates a formal AI policy and measurable objectives into its standard operating procedures. The framework also establishes controls around how AI projects are developed and delivered.
Projects are required to use approved tools and follow defined data-classification protocols, while lifecycle documentation is maintained throughout the AI development process. The company said these controls are intended to create a consistent approach to managing AI-related processes across its technology operations.
The company’s Core Technology Group (CTG) is responsible for ongoing monitoring of AI usage, performance and the effectiveness of controls. This introduces a continuous oversight layer rather than limiting governance to the initial development or deployment stage.
CSM has also established a dedicated AI Risk Register through which AI-related risks are recorded, assessed, treated and closed. The process is designed to track risks throughout their lifecycle and provide a structured mechanism for addressing potential issues.

The certification arrives as CSM expands AI-led services across its GovTech and digital transformation portfolio. The company operates across India and international markets including Africa, the UAE, the United States and Canada.
