Advait, Manipal Partner for India’s Clean Energy Infrastructure Push

Advait Energy Transitions Ltd. (NSE: ADVAIT) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Manipal Energy & Infratech Ltd. (MEIL), part of The Manipal Group, to jointly pursue opportunities across India’s fast-expanding power and clean energy sectors, reflecting a broader industry trend toward collaborative execution as projects become larger and more technologically complex.

The partnership will combine Advait’s manufacturing and technology capabilities with MEIL’s engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) expertise to bid for and execute projects spanning power transmission and distribution, renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), green hydrogen, electrolysers, High-Temperature Low-Sag (HTLS) conductors, Optical Ground Wire (OPGW), Emergency Restoration Systems (ERS), and advanced EPC solutions.

The agreement comes as India’s energy transition agenda increasingly demands integrated delivery models rather than specialised execution in isolated segments. Large-scale transmission upgrades, renewable integration and emerging technologies such as energy storage and green hydrogen require expertise across manufacturing, engineering and project execution—an area where strategic alliances are becoming increasingly relevant.

Under the cooperation framework, Advait will support MEIL in identifying and executing projects involving battery energy storage, green hydrogen, electrolysers, fuel cells and solar EPC. In return, MEIL will strengthen Advait’s capabilities in underground cabling, substations, and transmission and distribution infrastructure while supporting technical qualification and project execution.

Rather than establishing a joint venture, the companies will jointly evaluate opportunities and define project-specific responsibilities, allowing them to pursue larger contracts while leveraging their respective strengths.

Shalin Sheth, Founder and Managing Director of Advait Energy Transitions, said India’s power sector is entering a phase where multidisciplinary expertise and execution capacity are becoming essential to compete for complex infrastructure programmes.

According to Sheth, the partnership is designed to position both organisations for larger, integrated opportunities across power infrastructure and clean energy while supporting the country’s long-term energy transition objectives.

The collaboration also has an international dimension, with both companies intending to explore overseas opportunities where integrated engineering, manufacturing and EPC capabilities can improve competitiveness.

Beyond individual projects, the agreement focuses on strengthening qualification credentials, expanding market presence and improving delivery capabilities. Those factors could become increasingly important as governments and utilities seek partners capable of executing multi-technology energy infrastructure programmes under compressed timelines.

The partnership illustrates how India’s energy transition is reshaping competitive dynamics within the infrastructure sector. As renewable generation expands and grid modernisation accelerates, companies are increasingly looking beyond traditional supplier-contractor relationships toward strategic collaborations that combine complementary capabilities.

For Advait, the alliance broadens its execution footprint beyond technology and manufacturing. For MEIL, it offers access to emerging clean energy technologies that are expected to play a growing role in India’s future power mix. Together, the companies aim to compete for projects that increasingly demand integrated expertise across the evolving energy value chain.
